Kaua‘i County Department of Public Works and contractor Grace Pacific announce that previously scheduled road closures along a portion of Menehune Road in Waimea are postponed.

Additional information about when the closures and work will be rescheduled is forthcoming and will be provided once available.
“Mahalo for your patience,” said Public Works in a release announcing the postponement.
Single-lane and full road closures were originally announced for weekdays May 27 through June 12 along Menehune Road, beginning at the Menehune Place intersection and extending approximately 5,700 feet north.
The closures were set to accommodate a scope of work including grass cutting, cold milling 2 inches of the roadway, repaving the riding surface with 2 inches of asphalt and permanent striping.
