Closures are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays from May 27 through June 12, weather permitting, along Menehune Road, beginning at the Menehune Place intersection and extending about 5,700 feet north.

Single-lane contraflows are planned along Menehune Road, from the Menehune Place intersection to Menehune Ditch Bridge, and a full closure is expected from Menehune Ditch Bridge to the end of the usable road.

The scope of work includes grass cutting, cold milling 2 inches of the roadway, repaving the riding surface with 2 inches of asphalt and permanent striping.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction area, observe all posted signage and electronic message boards as well as follow directions of flaggers and special duty officers stationed in the work zone.

Area residents will be allowed partial access through the closures.

The public is advised to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the closures and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

No parking will be allowed in the work zones. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
