Kauaʻi emergency personnel swiftly responded to a Saturday incident at ʻUluwehi Falls, where a 33-year-old tourist suffered a head injury after jumping into the water and striking a rock.

Air 1 arrived at the scene and found the injured hiker near the falls. The visitor was extracted from the area the afternoon of April 1 and taken to a rendezvous point near the ‘Ōpaeka‘a Falls Lookout, where he was transferred to awaiting firefighters and medics.
