Planning Department invites community members to participate in a series of focused public workshops for the East Kaua‘i Community and Circulation Plan. The workshops will continue to take place through September and are part of the department’s ongoing public engagement program.
The East Kaua‘i Community and Circulation Plan is a long-range planning initiative that addresses land use, transportation, infrastructure, housing, and more. It also emphasizes community priorities such as climate hazard resilience and the protection of cultural and historic resources.
“This planning process is about listening and learning together. We encourage all East Kaua‘i residents to be part of the conversation,” said Planning Director Ka‘āina Hull.
Each workshop will focus on a specific priority topic and will include interactive opportunities for community feedback. Dinner will be provided at each event. For those unable to attend in person, workshop materials will also be made available online.
Upcoming workshop schedule:
This workshop series builds upon previous community engagement efforts, including a public open house and survey conducted in summer 2024 and a multi-day design workshop held in October 2024.
