RESCHEDULED FROM NOVEMBER 2025!
The PRISM Club at Kaua'i Community College is proud to re-present their annual full participation showing of the original cult-classic feature film THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW at the Kaua'i Community College Performing Arts Center, a joyous celebration of the queer community. This year's event will feature an emcee, "virgin sacrifices," a costume contest, and a shadowcast leading shoutouts and participation during the film.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2026, at the Kaua'i Community College Performing Arts Center
DOORS Open at 6:00 PM; FLOOR SHOW at 6:30 PM
TICKETS: $10 general admission / $8 student admission
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (RHPS) is not so much a campy 1975 musical comedy as it is a cultural phenomenon. Don't just "dream it" --"be it" and come join us for an inclusive evening of fun. Costumes are welcome and partici...pation is fully encouraged. Prop packages ("Stuff to Throw"), containing all the items you need to participate (and instructions if you don't know how), are available for a $5 purchase at the same time as ticket purchase. All proceeds from this event will go to the PRISM* Club at Kaua'i Community College to host other LGBTQ+ friendly events on campus, provide LGBTQ+ education and advocacy at KCC, and fund the club's participation in the annual Kaua'i Pride Parade.
PLEASE: no food (rice, toast) or cleaning-intensive items (confetti, glitter, water guns). We know they're fun, but they attract pests and make a lot of extra work for the clean-up crew!
CONTENT ADVISORY: Although quite "tame" by today's standards, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is a rated R film, containing mature content unsuitable for young children, homophobes, and the faint of heart, including sexual themes and coarse language. While we cherish RHPS as a landmark film for the queer community, we also acknowledge the problematic plot points around consent and representation that are a reflection of the world as it existed in the 1970s.
*PRISM stands for Pride, Raising Awareness, Involvement, Support, and Mentoring. The club is open to all KCC STUDENTS, faculty, and staff: those who identify as LGBTQ+ themselves, who have loved ones who identify as LGBTQ+, and those who are allies interested in advocacy for LGBTQ+ equality.
This event is officially sponsored by the University of Hawai'i Commission on LGBTQ+ Equality.
