My Name Is Mimosa is a personal introspection of Devaki's journey through some of the last remaining Operation Babylift archives as she traces her path from Vietnam to Kauai, from the chaos of war to the quiet of home. What began as a search through records and documents snowballed into an international collaborative project that delivered adoptees' files and collected the fragmented histories scattered throughout the country.

Devaki has presented this work at the Pan Am Museum, Regis University in Denver, Boulder, Utah, and most recently at UH Manoa and UH Maui Campus. Returning to Kauai, it takes on a different meaning. This is where the story starts, with her family. Coming home to tell it feels less like a lecture and more like talking story with family — because in many ways, it is.
