E’ komo mai to the 2024 Kaua’i Mokihana Festival, September 22nd-28th. The Kaua’i Mokihana Festival is a weeklong celebration of contemporary Hawaiian culture offering lectures, workshops, music, craft fairs, and hula competitions. The festival opens Sunday with the 10am service at Kapa‘a First Hawaiian Church. On Monday, don't miss the amazing showcase of talent at the Composers Contest and Concert with 14 composers performing at the Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach Resort. Then Tuesday and Wednesday the festival features the Oe'oe, and Hokiokio Workshops with Ka'uhane Morton and the Ili'ili Hula Workshop on Thursday (with Kumu Ku'ualohanui Kauli'a). Friday and Saturday the festival presents the finale events with the Hula Kahiko and Auwana competitions with 12 halau competing at the War Memorial Convention Hall.
