The Academic Success Workshop will feature a variety of sessions led by experts in higher education, including a dedicated financial aid and FAFSA presentation by Zach Street from Connecticut College. This session will provide families with critical information on navigating the financial aid process, understanding FAFSA, and securing scholarships, ensuring that students have the financial tools they need to pursue higher education.

Additionally, the event will feature two distinguished speakers:

• Art Stipanovik, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at SUNY - College of Environmental Science and Forestry, will present on “Plastics in the Ocean”. His lecture will delve into the environmental impact of plastics and the scientific efforts to address ocean pollution.

• Mike Wilcox, Senior Lecturer at Stanford University, will deliver a lecture on “Aina-Based Learning”, a teaching philosophy that connects education with the land, culture, and community, offering students a deeper understanding of their environment and heritage.
