A series of community workshops will be held across Kauaʻi in April to support development of the Kauaʻi Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), a collaborative effort to strengthen wildfire preparedness, mitigation, and safety island-wide. Previously scheduled sessions were postponed due to severe weather and Kona Low conditions.
Hawaiʻi Wildfire Management Organization (HWMO), in partnership with the Kauaʻi Fire Department, Kauaʻi Emergency Management Agency, and the DLNR Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW), is inviting residents, landowners, agencies, and community organizations to participate in the planning process.
