We are an all-volunteer organization founded in 2006. With the impending landfill crisis our island is currently facing, we are striving to divert from the landfill by getting #CurbsideRecycling with a MRF (Materials Recovery Facility), supporting regional #Composting, #SustainableConstruction and deconstruction of buildings, while preventing toxic waste incineration on Kauaʻi. Our volunteers help to achieve #ZeroWasteEvents and have produced timely, informative public forums and a PSA (see vimeo.com/zerowastekauai).  

Zero Waste Kauaʻi is looking for more sustainability and zero waste enthusiasts to join us as officers, executive committee members, grant writers, administrators and more to connect, collaborate and support for our efforts however you can!

We invite you to join us for an in-person meetup next Thursday, October 10th from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at Līhuʻe Neighborhood Center to learn more and join our mission as we strive for a more sustainable island home for us all.
