"You are one choice away from a different life..." Kyle Quilausing, from Hawai'i's Most Wanted to a Beacon of Hope

Hoʻomana I Ka Lāhui, a program of the YWCA, is excited to announce that next Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 5-6pm in Anahola we are hosting Hilo Native Kyle Quilausing to help us end violence and lift up Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities on Kaua'i.

Once one of Hawaiʻiʻs Most Wanted, Kyle has a unique and inspiring story that has touched thousands of people.

  • From his childhood as a world-champion golfer;

  • To becoming addicted to crystal meth and then going to prison;

  • To escaping, being caught, and going into solitary confinement;

  • To turning his life around and now speaking to youth all over Hawaiʻi;

  • Kyle has triumphed over adversity, and is coming to Kaua’i to share the power of making the right choices.

The event, which offers free pūpūs and drinks, will be held at the Anahola Market Place (AMP) Cafe and is FREE to all.

Ho'omana I Ka Lāhui is on a mission to increase support, healing, safety, and wellbeing in Kauaʻiʻs Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities.

A program of the YWCA of Kauaʻi, we provide culturally-specific services to victims of dating violence, domestic violence, and/or sexual assault, supporting the revitalization of Native Hawaiian culture as the foundation for prevention.

Hoʻomana I Ka Lāhui seeks to host community events while uplifting cultural traditions and healing practices as a way to deter violence in our communities.

For more information, reply here or contact Hoʻomana I Ka Lāhui Director Kawena Bagano: kawena@ywcakauai.org

Hoʻomana I Ka Lāhui has office hours in Anahola on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-3pm and is located in A-1 Building next to the Anahola Market Place.
