The Kauaʻi Japanese Cultural Society invites you to the 40th Anniversary of Kauaʻi Matsuri Festival!  Saturday, October 11th, at the Kauaʻi War Memorial Convention Hall, 9am til 3:00pm. Come celebrate Japanese culture and arts!  The beat of drums will surely make you heart race. Dancers in kimono dance to traditional Japanese music using fans, towels or umbrellas. Listen to shamisen playing by Anju Madoka along with the beautiful singing by Sheree Tamura, and Torao Hikariyama returns to thrill you with enka singing. There’s also a creative musubi making contest, tsukemono contest, mochi pounding, gyotaku fish printing, tea ceremony, calligraphy, ikebana flower arranging, shamisen lessons and more. Plus, Kimono dressing on stage by Mr. & Mrs. Mikami. Kauaʻi Japanese Cultural Society's Matsuri, Saturday, October 11th,  at the Kauaʻi War Memorial from 9am  til 3:00 pm. Admission is FREE!
