April 18—Earth Day in Lydgate Park 2026 community workday

In 1994 Kaua‘i was two years into the recovery from Hurricane Iniki. Community leaders realized that a major collective volunteer effort to celebrate getting our lives back together after that disaster would be therapeutic. The result was the community build of Kamalani Playground.

Now thirty-two years later, we still nurture our keiki and celebrate strengthening community bonds by convening volunteer workdays.

for a morning of establishing new friendships and exercising community stewardship.
