In lieu of our normal public starwatch event at Kaumakani, KEASA will be hosting a special event at KCC.  The event will start at 6:00 inside the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center with a special presentation by Dr. Alex FIlippenko, distinguished professor of astronomy at UC Berkeley, on exciting new James Webb Space Telescope results.  Dr. Filippenko has numerous awards and recognition in the field of astrophysics, and has appeared on The History Channel "The Universe" series, "How the Universe Works", and the Lex Fridman podcast.  After the presentation, KEASA members will have telescopes set up in the lawn outside for night sky viewing
