Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a car fire on Aleka Loop in Wailuā shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to a preliminary report, Ocean Safety Bureau personnel from the Nukumoi Tower spotted bystanders calling for help after bringing to shore an unresponsive bodyboarder from the water near Marriott Waiohai Beach Club at noon.
