Kukui Grove Center is set to welcome families to a Back-to-School Fun & Movie Night on Saturday, Aug. 8, featuring children’s activities, student entertainment and a family-friendly film to mark the beginning of the new school year.
The event, held in partnership with the Kapaʻa Middle School Choir and Ukulele Band, is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m.
Activities for children, including crafts and games, will begin at 4 p.m. Student performers from Kapaʻa Middle School will take the stage from 5:30 to 6 p.m., followed by an outdoor screening of the animated Disney movie “Hoppers,” beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets and lawn chairs for seating during the film.
Kukui Grove Center also will distribute remaining backpacks and school supplies from its recent Back-to-School Bash beginning at 5 p.m. The giveaway will continue while supplies last.
