Deadline approaching for payment of first installment of real property taxes for Kaua‘i residents

Kaua‘i County’s Real Property Division reminds property owners that the first installment of Real Property Taxes for the 2026-2027 tax year is due on Aug. 20.

Real Property Tax bills were mailed on July 20, according to a news release from Kaua‘i County. Property owners who have not yet received their bill should contact the Real Property Tax Collections Section at 808-241-4272 or email rpc@kauai.gov.

Payments may be made online at www.kauairpt.ehawaii.gov, by mail, in person, or by using the drop box located outside the Kapulē Building at the Līhuʻe Civic Center. Checks should be made payable to the Director of Finance.

No appointment is necessary to visit the Real Property Tax Collections Section. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays.

Failure to pay real property taxes in full by Aug. 20 will result in a 10% penalty, plus interest of 1% per month. For more information, visit www.qpublic.net/hi/kauai/.
