Science, technology, engineering and mathematics, plus a look at various career options — it was all part of an end-of-year field trip to Pacific Missile Range Facility Kekaha for students at Wilcox Elementary School in Līhuʻe.
Students visited the U.S. Navy installation in West Kaua‘i for a workforce tour related to the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The tour also highlighted various lifetime careers available on-base.

Interactive presentations, live demonstrations and facility tours of Pacific Missile Range Facility military, civilian and contractor careers were all a part of the experience.
Students also learned about the important mission of the installation’s fire and emergency services department, air operations and various ecosystems and native wildlife cared for by its natural resources team.
