Kaumūmene Trail, also known as Hideaways Trail, will temporarily close for repairs starting Monday, June 29.

The County of Kauaʻi Department of Public Works expects the closure to last approximately eight weeks, with reopening anticipated in late August 2026, weather permitting.

During this time, the Princeville trail will be closed to all public access to allow crews to safely complete the necessary repair work. The public is asked to observe all posted closure signs and avoid the trail during the closure period for the safety of trail users and work crews.
