Public invited to community meeting next week at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital

Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation – Kauaʻi Region invites the public to a community meeting next week at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital in Kapaʻa.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. June 23 in the hospital auditorium.

Updates about hospital improvement projects, Mahelona Transit-Oriented Development Master Plan update and environmental impact statement, relocation of Kapaʻa Public Library and Kauaʻi County Supportive Housing project will be provided.

The meeting also will include a legislative update from Hawaiʻi Senate President Ronald Kouchi and Hawaiʻi House Speaker Nadine Nakamura, both of Kauaʻi.

Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation – Kauaʻi Region Regional Chief Executive Officer Lance Segawa also will be in attendance at the meeting.

There is a limited in-person capacity for the meeting. Click here to RSVP.

The presentation will also be recorded and posted online for those unable to attend.

Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital is located at 4800 Kawaihau Road in Kapaʻa.
