Full road closures along portions of Alawai Road will take place May 27 to June 10, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting, according to the Kauaiʻi County Department of Public Works.
These road closures are necessary for the public’s safety and to allow crews of the Roads Division to complete culvert and road repairs within the County right of way.
The department advises motorists to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary traffic modifications, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations.
During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
