
A portion of Olohena Road in Kapaʻa will be closed on Wednesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in order for crews to pour a concrete retaining wall, according to the Kauaʻi County Department of Public Works.
The construction is being done by Earthworks Pacific.
Motorists will need to use alternate routes during this time. The detour routes:
- Eastbound traffic on Olohena Road will be routed onto Waipouli Road from Kamalu Road via Olohena Road.
- Westbound traffic will be routed onto Waipouli Road via Hauiki Road, and onto Kamalu Road via Olohena Road.
