Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Wailua man wanted in connection with several ongoing criminal investigations.

Kamron Cortez, 31, is wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. Bail for Cortez was set at $20,000 by the Kauaʻi Police Department.
Kauaʻi police said Cortez is also a suspect in multiple recent burglaries, vehicle break-ins, and vehicle theft cases.
He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Police add that he is known to frequent the Kapaʻa and Līhuʻe areas. Authorities warned that Cortez is considered armed and dangerous and advised members of the community not to approach him.

Residents who see him are urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
