Hawaii COVID Cases Jump by Nearly 50 From Wednesday Total

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 122 new cases of coronavirus Thursday, raising the statewide total to 30,485. Three new COVID-related deaths were also reported.

The state’s two-week average is 95 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.8%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the state’s website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 23,537
Maui: 3,067
Hawai‘i: 2,557
Kaua‘i: 199
Lana‘i: 111
Moloka‘i: 34
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 980

A total of 2,035 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 470 people have died.

To date, 888,772 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide.
