Community members are invited to write messages about loved ones who have passed on that will be sent over to O‘ahu for the upcoming annual remembrance ceremony next month at Ala Moana Beach Park.

The Shinnyo Lantern Floating Hawaiʻi event will take these messages and affix them to Collective Remembrance Lanterns that will be set afloat from canoes on May 25 at the O‘ahu park.

On Sunday, April 26, the Kaua‘i residents are invited to take part in a special remembrance writing event at the Kukui Grove Center, located at 3-2600 Kaumuali‘i Highway in Līhuʻe, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to contribute their messages to the May event, according to a press release about the event.
