The Kauaʻi Department of Water will host its fifth and final meeting tonight, where officials will discuss proposed water rate increases with the community.
The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kōloa Neighborhood Center, located at 3461B Weliweli Rd., in Kōloa.
The county department encourages residents of South Kaua‘i (Kalāheo, Lāwa‘i, ‘Ōma‘o, Kōloa, and Po‘ipū) to attend, but all DOW customers and community members are welcome.
During the meeting, the department leaders will be highlighting findings from its recently completed comprehensive water systems evaluation and water rate study. A question-and-answer discussion will follow the presentation. Open dialogue is welcomed.
Free water conservation-themed giveaways will be offered at the door.
Anyone requiring auxiliary aids or services for effective communication or needing a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity, should contact the Department of Water as soon as possible at 808-245-5461.
