Closure of Pe‘e Road at the Po‘ipū Road intersection in Po‘ipū, originally scheduled through April 10, was delayed because of the recent severe weather.

The road closure and related ongoing construction project — which was also delayed — now are slated to continue April 13-17, weather permitting.
A detour is in place from down Ho‘owili to Ho‘one Road and then connecting to Pe‘e Road. This will allow access to the south side of Pe‘e Road.
“We appreciate your patience, understanding and cooperation as these necessary improvements are completed at the Ala Kinoiki and Po‘ipū Road intersection,” said Kaua’i County Department of Public Works in an announcement about the delay.
