County of Kauaʻi to close offices, facilities this Friday

The County of Kauaʻi will close its offices and facilities on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday.

The Kauaʻi Bus will operate on its current daily schedule. The facilities set to close include:

  • All neighborhood centers
  • Waimea and Kapaʻa swimming pools
  • Reynolds HI5 Redemption Center in Līhuʻe
  • All refuse transfer stations
  • The Kekaha Landfill
  • The Puhi Metals Recycling Center

The Kauaʻi Community Recycling Services HI5 Redemption Center will be open on Friday, April 3, in Kīlauea, while their Kōloa site will close on Sunday, April 5, for Easter.

The Kekaha Landfill and refuse transfer stations will resume service on Saturday, April 4, and will be open on Easter Sunday, April 5. The schedule for residential refuse pickup will remain unchanged.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Monday, April 6.
