State Reports Another Day of 100-Plus COVID Cases Friday

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 125 new cases of coronavirus Friday, raising the statewide total to 29,194. One new COVID-related death was also reported.

After several weeks of reporting double-digit cases daily, Friday marks the second consecutive day the state has registered more than 100 new cases of the virus.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 22,806
Maui: 2,723
Hawai‘i: 2,418
Kaua‘i: 188
Lana‘i: 110
Moloka‘i: 34
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 911

A total of 1,963 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 459 people have died.
