“Every Dancer Is A Star,” and Kaua‘i youth steppers are going to show the community exactly why the night of Friday, March 27, in Līhuʻe.
Garden Isle Dance Academy, in partnership with Performing Arts For All, is celebrating island talent during a special performance, highlighting dance academy students during a vibrant, multimedia dance recital from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at War Memorial Convention Hall.
Each student — ages 3 years old through adult — will have their chance to shine, featured in a portrait style video presentation and live stage performance with their individuality and joy in dance up front and center.
The program includes solo and group performances as will feature special guest artists from Cleo Parker Robinson Dance of Denver, Colo.
“We are honored to be featuring internationally acclaimed guest artists from Cleo Parker Robinson Dance — recipients of the National Medal of the Arts — who are here to perform alongside our island’s young beginners, as well as our accomplished local dancers in a one-night-only celebratio,” said Garden Isle Dance Academy Founder Jennifer Schwartz in an email.
“Every Dancer Is A Star” 2026 was created and will be directed by Schwartz.
There will even be a community flash mob before intermission, giving audience members the chance to participate.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for keiki 18 years old and younger. They can be purchased at the Garden Isle Dance Academy website, from participating performers and at Magic Dragon Toys & Art Supplies in Princeville.
