Road work on portion of Papalina Road in Kalāheo scheduled for the next two weeks

Road striping on a portion of Papalina Road in Kalāheo began today.

The Department of Public Works’ contractor, Maui Kūpono Builders, will close lanes while striping a section of Papalina Road from Kaumualiʻi Highway to Waha Road. Crews will work each weekday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday, April 3, weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to accommodate the necessary road closures and allow extra time to reach their destinations. During this period, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
