Blue Hawaiian Helicopters has announced the appointment of Jeff Helfrick as its new president & CEO, overseeing both Blue Hawaiian Helicopters and Blue Hawaiian Activities.

Jeff joins Blue Hawaiian from McGee Air Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, where he most recently served as President.

In this role, he leads a team of more than 3,500 employees providing ground handling services across Alaska Airlines’ major hub airports, overseeing large-scale, safety-critical operations with a strong emphasis on service excellence and people-focused leadership.

Helfrick has over 30 years of experience spanning aviation and hospitality and brings a global perspective and deep operational expertise to Blue Hawaiian.

His career began in guest operations at Six Flags and Marriott Hotels and progressed into senior leadership roles with some of the world’s most respected airlines, including United Airlines, Air New Zealand, and Qantas.

Helfrick is also no stranger to Hawaiʻi.

Having previously served for seven years as Vice President of Airport Operations for Hawaiian Airlines, he brings a strong understanding of island operations and a deep appreciation for the aloha spirit that defines Hawaiʻi’s culture, communities, and approach to hospitality.

The company adds that as Blue Hawaiian continues to evolve as Hawaiʻi’s leading aviation and experiences company, Helfrickʻs leadership marks an exciting step forward.
