From the pageantry of the Kentucky Derby to a private villa stay in the Tuscan countryside or a red-carpet walk at the Country Music Awards, this year’s North Shore Give charity auction is offering bidders a chance to turn dream experiences into reality — all while supporting Kauaʻi’s North Shore.
Online bidding for the third annual North Shore Give community charity auction is underway and runs through March 21, featuring more than 140 items ranging from travel packages and dining experiences to once-in-a-lifetime meet-and-greets.
The proceeds benefit local programs that provide health care, emergency response and other essential services.

Local bidders can choose from three exclusive opportunities: co-host a one-hour live show on KONG Radio with Ron Wiley, enjoy a private meet-and-greet with Mayor Derek Kawakami during his final year in office, or talk story with Rudy Tai, the Garden Island’s new Chief of the Kauaʻi Police Department.
“Every bid is a simple way to support our community,” said Maylette Garces, executive director of North Shore Give. “With 150 items this year, more than ever before, each bid helps expand medical access, strengthen community preparedness, and support local nonprofits.”
She added: “It’s a simple, fun, and meaningful way for all of us to come together and care for one another.”
The auction will culminate on Saturday, with a live gala at the Anaina Hou Porter Pavilion in Kīlauea, where final bids will be placed.
North Shore Give President Stefan Swanepoel said the annual auction and fundraiser provides another opportunity for neighbors to uplift and support one another.
“Over the past few years, the North Shore community has grown stronger as many of the essential threads — health care, education, emergency response, water, and animal services—have been woven into a more connected and resilient community,” Swanepoel said.

Last year, Wiley, the evening’s auctioneer, presided over the remaining items up for bidding, including the night’s most anticipated piece: ʻCartoon Chaos,ʻ a surfboard artwork by multimedia artist Trevor Romain that sold within minutes.
The auction raised more than $100,000 and brought together community members, local businesses and donors from across the island. Guests at this year’s gala will also have the opportunity to bid on 12 exclusive items during Saturday’s live auction.
