Young Brothers barge Ho‘omaka Hou arrived at Nāwiliwili this morning (March 13) as scheduled; however, it could not enter the harbor because of high winds and low visibility causing unsafe entry conditions.
Thus, the barge is returning to Honolulu, and Port of Nāwiliwili will close today at 11:30 a.m. because of heavy weather conditions.
All cargo destined for Honolulu must be in-gated no later.

A recovery sailing will depart Saturday (March 14) from Honolulu and arrive Sunday (March 15), ocean and weather conditions permitting.
