All University of Hawaiʻi campuses on Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, and Maui County will be closed Friday, March 13, due to expected heavy rain, flash flooding, severe thunderstorms, and high winds.

The closure includes all scheduled classes and events, including the Outrigger Invitational men’s volleyball tournament and a Rainbow Wahine softball game at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

As a precaution, all outdoor events scheduled at University of Hawaiʻi facilities on Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, and in Maui County for Saturday, March 14, are also canceled. This includes the Kapiʻolani Community College Farmers Market and the Maui College Swap Meet.

University officials will assess conditions on Friday and determine whether additional closures for Saturday are needed, including Saturday classes and the Outrigger Invitational men’s volleyball tournament. For updates, check the Hawaiʻi Athletics website.
