13 lane closures scheduled during week of Feb. 28-March 6 on Kaua‘i state roadways
Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following 13 scheduled lane closures and road work projects on Kaua‘i state roadways during the week of Feb. 28-March 6.

HIGHWAY 50
PUHI TO KĪPŪ
- SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 1.7 and 4 in the vicinity of Puhi Road and Puʻuana Road, from midnight to 6 a.m. March 2-4 for cutting grass.
KŌLOA TO LĀWAʻI
- SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 7.9 and 10.3 in the vicinity of Kōloa Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 2-6 for cutting the grass.
HIGHWAY 51
NĀWILIWILI
- SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0.1 and 0.7 in the vicinity of Lala Road and Mōkoi Street, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 2-3 for asphalt reconstruction and installing raised crosswalks. LĪHU‘E
- CENTER LANE CLOSURE in both directions, between mile posts 0.1 and 0.4 in the vicinity of Hardy Street and Ahukini Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 1-6 for waterline replacement. No left turns will be allowed through the work area. Click here for details.
- LANE SHIFT possible in either direction, between mile posts 3 and 7 in the vicinity of Kauaʻi Beach Drive to Fernandes Road, from 1 to 6:30 a.m. March 3-5 for cutting the grass.
WAILUĀ
- FULL CLOSURE, in the southbound direction on Wailuā Mauka Bridge between mile posts 5.7 and 5.9 in the vicinity of Wailuā Marina Road and Kuamoʻo Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 2-6 for concrete work on the Wailuā Mauka Bridge. - LANE SHIFT possible in either direction, between mile posts 19 and 21 in the vicinity of Kapuna Road to Waiakalua Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 2-6 for cutting the grass.
KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE
- LANE SHIFT possible in either direction, between mile posts 24.4 and 28.1 in the vicinity of Kāhiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 2-6 for striping.
PRINCEVILLE
- FULL CLOSURE, between mile posts 0.3 and 1.2 in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and ʻŌhiki Road, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 2-6 for paving. Click here for details.

- FULL CLOSURE, between mile posts 1.1 and 3.2 in the vicinity of Panini Place, from March 2-6 for pavement reconstruction. Click here for details.
- SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 4.6 and 11.5, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 2-6 for shoulder reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
