Kaua‘i County Agency on Elderly Affairs invites the community to nominate kūpuna who made meaningful and lasting contributions to the island to be honored during Older Americans Month, which is celebrated every May.

Eligible nominees must:

  • Be age 65 years or older by Dec. 31, 2025.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to service, leadership and dedication to helping others.

Selected nominees will be honored during a future Older Americans Recognition Ceremony, for which details will be announced later.

One man and one woman will be selected to represent Kaua‘i at a statewide ceremony in June on O‘ahu.

This annual recognition provides an opportunity to express appreciation for the invaluable contributions of Kaua‘i’s kūpuna and celebrate the positive and lasting impact they continue to have on the Garden Island.

Organizations are encouraged to submit a completed nomination application along with a supporting letter.

Applications are available at the Agency on Elderly Affairs office or on the agency website.
