Lane closures scheduled for guardrail repair, installation on Kainahola Road in Kapa‘a

Kaua‘i County Department of Public Works and contractor GP Roadway Solutions announce upcoming lane closures scheduled next week along portions of Kainahola Road — in the vicinity of Kawaihau Road — in Kapa‘a.

The closures — necessary for guardrail repair and installation — are planned for 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 5-6, weather permitting.

Motorists should make appropriate accommodations for the necessary lane closures, use alternate routes and allow extra time getting to their destinations if they must drive through the work zone.

No parking will be allowed in the area during the repair and installation project. Flaggers will be positioned in the work zone to direct traffic.
