The production of Kaua‘i identification cards, including driving permits, driver’s licenses, and state identification cards, is unavailable due to equipment issues, Kaua‘i County officials report.

The Division of Motor Vehicles staff continues to work with its vendors to restore full functionality as quickly as possible, and anticipates ID cards will become available on Jan. 26.

The DMV is contacting appointment holders with appointments today via email or phone call cancelling their appointments for all driver’s license, CDL, and state identification card services.

To reschedule your appointment, rebook through the DMV website at https://www.kauai.gov/DMV. If you have already paid for road test services, the DMV will hold your payment and apply it to your next appointment.

The DMV continues to be available for all motor vehicle services, ADA placards, and utility bill payments.
