A global Microsoft Exchange outage disrupted email communications at the Hawaiʻi State Senate on Tuesday, causing delays and interruptions to several digital services used by lawmakers and the public.

The outage, which began around 9 a.m., affected Senate email accounts and automated systems tied to the Hawaiʻi State Legislature’s website.

Officials said some users may not receive system-generated emails, including legislative hearing notices, account registration confirmations, and password reset messages.
