Kaua‘i County Finance Department awarded 2025 90+ cashVest Award from three+one
Kaua‘i County Finance Department was honored as a 2025 recipient of the cashVest 90+ Award from financial technology firm three+one, garnering national distinction highlighting excellence in public sector cash and liquidity management.

The award is presented to government entities that achieve a cashVest score of 90 or higher through four consecutive quarters.
Scores are based on a comprehensive review of liquidity practices, cash flow performance, investment policy standards and effective use of available funds.
Nationally recognized three+one — which defines and provides liquidity analysis and data services to public sector municipalities, school districts and higher education — evaluates each recipient through a rigorous, data-driven process that measures how well an organization manages, times and optimizes its cash resources while maintaining safety and liquidity.
Achieving this benchmark reflects a high level of fiscal stewardship and a strong commitment to maximizing the value of public dollars.
This award places Kaua‘i County among a select group of agencies nationwide that demonstrate consistent best practices in financial management.
The county Finance Department’s accomplishment also reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen financial transparency, improve strategic cash positioning and support sustainable fiscal planning for the years ahead.
“I am proud of our Finance Department for earning this recognition,” said Kaua‘i County Mayor Derek Kawakami in a release about the achievement. “Their hard work, attention to detail and dedication to responsible management of public funds continue to benefit our entire community.”
