Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply. Preference will be given to organizations that have not previously received an award and whose proposals focus on youth.

“Building on last year’s grant opportunity, this funding supports prosocial and prevention programs that give Kaua‘i’s youth positive, healthy ways to grow and stay engaged,” said Like in an announcement about the grant opportunity. “These investments help reduce future involvement in the justice system and strengthen our island community.”

Those requiring auxiliary aid or other accommodation because of a disability can contact DeHart at 808-241-4925 or via email at ddehart@kauai.gov no later than Jan. 30.
