The Kauaʻi Bus announced a special promotion offering 100 free Hōlomua Transit Cards — each preloaded with $5 — to the first 100 riders who claim them.

A Hōlomua Transit Card offers a convenient and easy way for people to access Kauaʻi’s public bus system.

Eligible riders can pick up a free card in person beginning Jan. 5 at Kauaʻi County Transportation Agency, located at 3220 Hoʻolako St., in Līhuʻe.

The promotion coincides with the launch of new Route 900 and Route 950 services, which expand public transportation options for the community.

It is available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, with one card per rider.

Launch of Routes 900 and 950, along with this free card promotion, reflects the county’s ongoing commitment to improving mobility, accessibility and affordability for residents and visitors.
