Kekaha landfill closed till further notice

The Kekaha Landfill will remain closed until further notice due to inclement weather conditions that may impact site access and safe operations, according to a press release from Kaua‘i County.

The closure is being made out of an “abundance of caution” to protect the safety of landfill users and staff.

County officials will continue to monitor weather conditions and will provide updates as they become available. The public is encouraged to plan accordingly and consider alternative disposal options once conditions improve.
