Bring unneeded items to the last reuse collection of the year next week
The Kaua‘i Resource Center will hold its last reuse collection event of the year in Līhu‘e on Dec. 19.
Residents, businesses and other organizations can bring unwanted or unneeded items for reuse, including clothing, small furniture, children’s toys, books, and shoes. Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition; torn or stained clothing is OK.
Do not bring electronic waste, chemicals, appliances, baby items other than clothing, food, medical equipment, or broken items. The public is encouraged to check with their local thrift stores to see if they can take donations before bringing items to the center, located at 3460 Ahukini Rd.
Due to health and safety concerns, heavy equipment in the area, and to reduce the chance of injury to customers unloading heavy items, Goodwill requests that the public remain in their vehicles while on-site.
Thrift stores and businesses, call 808-241-4838 to schedule pick-up service. Residents requiring home pick-up can contact RP’s Random Closet at 808-346-0020.
The reuse collection will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 at 3460 Ahukini Road in Līhuʻe.
