Lane closed on Wailua Bridge for emergency electrical work

The Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative is doing emergency work on Wailua Bridge today.
The mauka, or southbound lane of Kūhiō Highway between Kuamo‘o Road and North Leho Drive is closed till noon to allow crews to place spacers on the electrical lines to prevent arcing currently being caused by high winds.
Motorists are advised to drive slowly and safely around the workers doing this emergency work.
KIUC will notify the public when the lane is reopened.
