Nareit Hawai‘i announced earlier this week that it is awarding a total of $120,000 in grants to five community nonprofits throughout the state.

The funds are aimed at supporting educational and social well-being programs provided by two O‘ahu-based organizations and three food banks helping residents and families cope with hunger on Maui, Hawai‘i Island and Kaua‘i.

Nareit Hawai‘i Executive Director Gladys Quinto Marrone presented a grant award Nov. 18, 2025, to Palama Settlement Executive Director Sam Aiona, who was joined by the employees of Palama Settlement.
