Emergency road closure planned along Wawae Road tomorrow morning

Crews will close a portion of Wawae Road in Kalāheo to trim and remove hazardous trees hanging above the roadway, according to the Department of Public Works.

The contractor, The Cutting-Edge Land Clearing Solutions, will facilitate intermittent single-lane and full road closures, weather and work permitting, from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday.

The road closure is necessary for the public’s safety, and motorists are asked to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures and allow extra time to reach destinations.

During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
