Līhuʻe Library celebrates fall with family-friendly events through November
The Līhu‘e Public Library is welcoming the fall season with six weeks of activities for keiki, teens, and adults, including creative workshops, Wicked Halloween fun and “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.”

After school on Wednesday, teens can gather at the library at 3:30 p.m. for a DIY Halloween Felt class follwed by Keiki Afternoon Arts & Crafts.
Teen trick or treat games will be held all day on Monday followed by board games and puzzle fun.
Families can end the month at the “Not So Scary” Movie Night on Oct. 29, featuring “Wicked: Part I” (2024) from Universal, in anticipation of the release of “Wicked: For Good” on Nov. 21.
The event will be followed by an all-day Halloween treat giveaway on Oct. 31.

In November, the month kicks off with the Kaua’i Live Poets Society meeting on Nov. 3, followed by the Mom’s Support Circle on Nov. 5.
Young readers can enjoy ‘Baby & Me Lapsit Storytime’ on Nov. 6 at 9:30 a.m. and every Thursday offers a unique program including, “Memory Catchers.”
In honor of Veterans Day, the library will be closed on Nov. 11.
A Family Movie Night screening of “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will be hosted on Nov. 12, followed by the Alzheimer’s Association Listen & Learn Lecture: Navigating Dementia
with Guide. And, Preschool Storytime and Craft will be held on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m.
Followed by Adult Coloring Cafe and the montlly Līhuʻe LEGO club meeting the following week. Concluding the month, there will be board games and puzzle fun on Nov. 25 and Keiki Afternoon Arts and Crafts on Nov. 26.
The library will be closed on Nov. 27 in observance of Thanksgiving.
Most events are open to all and require no registration, although early arrival is encouraged for seating and materials. The Līhu‘e Public Library reminds visitors that anyone needing special assistance or modifications to participate in programs should contact staff in advance.
