Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Oct. 12-17.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. A map of lane closures can be found here: https://hidot.hawaii.gov/highways/roadwork/.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

PUHI TO KŌLOA

Lane shift on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 2 to 8 in the vicinity of Anonui Street, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for cutting grass.

Roving lane shift pocket closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 9 to 10 in the vicinity of Upa Road and Akemama Road, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for installation of new reflectors.

Lane shift shoulder closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction, between mile post 31 to 32.9 in the vicinity of Kia Road and Kao Road, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for vegetation clearing.

Single lane closure on Nawiliwili Road (Route 51) possible in either direction, between mile post 0.0 to 0.8 in the vicinity of Wa‘apa Road and Rice Street, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for concrete sidewalk and curb work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

Side pocket shift with intermittent lane closure as needed on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 24.4 to 28.1, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, between mile post 0.3 to 1.2 in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for fence and guardrail installation on Hanalei Hill. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile post 1.2 to 2.3, in the vicinity of Hanalei Dolphin Restaurant and the Hanalei bridge, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for guardrail installation. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

WAIKOKO

Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile post 4.6 to 4.8, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Beach, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for soil nail drilling and grouting. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction between mile post 4.6 to 11.5, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for shoulder reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

WAILUA HOMESTEADS

Single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction between mile post 4.5 to 6, in the vicinity of Aina Pono Street, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass.

— KAPA‘A BYPASS ROAD (ROUTE 5600) —

KAPAA

Single lane closure on Kapa‘a Bypass Road (Route 5600) possible in either direction between mile post 0.0 to 1.5, in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway and Haul Cane Road, on Oct. 13 to Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass. The single lane portion of Kapaa Bypass Road that runs southbound only will be detoured to Kukui St.
